Privacy Policy
Last updated 2026. Zoomin is operated by Trail Optics LLC.
Short version: we collect what running the service requires and nothing else. We do not sell your data, we do not run advertising trackers, and we do not train AI on your recordings.
What we collect

What we deliberately don't collect
- No advertising or analytics trackers, on the marketing site or in the app.
- No third-party cookies. The only cookie we set is your sign-in session.
- No transcription, content analysis or AI training on your videos.
- No identification of who watched a shared link.
How view counting works
When someone opens a public share link we store a one-way hash of their IP address, browser user-agent and that video's share token. It exists for one purpose: so a person reloading the page twice is not counted as two viewers.
Because the video's own token is mixed into the hash, the same visitor watching two of your videos produces two unrelated values — the record cannot be used to follow someone around, and it cannot be turned back into an IP address. You see a number; you do not see a person.
Who else touches your data

That is the complete list. We do not share your data with anyone else unless the law compels us to, and we will tell you if that happens unless we are prohibited from doing so.
How long we keep things
- Recordings — until you delete them or close your account.
- The raw browser recording — deleted as soon as the playable MP4 exists, usually within minutes.
- Sessions — 30 days, or until you sign out.
- Failed sign-in records — 30 days.
- Billing records — seven years, because tax law requires it.
- Backups — deleted data rolls out of backups within 30 days.
Your rights
You can see and change your profile in Settings, download your videos as MP4s on Pro, and delete any recording or your entire account at any time. Account deletion is immediate and real — the files are removed from storage, not just hidden.
If you are in the EU, UK or California you also have rights to access, correct, port or erase your personal data, and to object to processing. Email support@zoomin.axisdigital.ai and we will act within 30 days. We will not charge you for it and we will not make the service worse for asking.
Security
Traffic is encrypted in transit. The storage bucket is private and every media URL is signed and short-lived. Passwords are bcrypt-hashed; sessions and reset links are stored as hashes, so a database dump does not hand over working credentials. Changing your password signs out every device.
No system is perfect. If you find a security problem, please email us before disclosing it publicly and we will work with you.
Children
Zoomin is not for anyone under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has an account, tell us and we will remove it.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that materially affects you, we will email you before it takes effect.
